This kitchen hadn't been touhed since the 60's and was in desperate need of a total overhall!  The end result fetaured reclaimed hardwood floors, white shaker cabinets, carera marble and quartz slab countertops, AGA Elise range and custom cement tile coffee bar with vintage cart.  

This once small U shaped mid century kitchen was transformed by reconfiguring the entire layout and combining a nook area into an openconcept layout.  The new large island features bar seating, navy cabinets and acacia wood butcher block countertops.  The new peremiter cabinets feature navy shaker base cabinets and soft gray upper cabinets. A new wall of floor to ceiling grey cabinets created a large pantry and built in buffet storage.  Open shleving helps to keep the design feeling light & contemporary.  A white mosaic rhomboid backsplash tile and quartz countertops complete the modern design. While sleek brushed brass cabinet hardware and modern pendant lights and can lighting add the much needed light and sparkle to the space.

I originally designed this kitchen 14 years ago when the homeowner was building the home.  While they still love the original design they decided they wanted to lighten up their space.  The cabinets were painted, new lighter quartz countertops were added, along with a colorful teal geometric glass tile to add a pop of color.  The bulters pantry was given new life by added a wall of geometric cement tile, new counter top and painted cabinets.  New cabinet hardware, lighting and nook seating and custom barstools were created to complete the updated mid-century inspired design.

This custom home featured natural cherry cabinets, Acacia hardwood floors, a slate mosaic backsplash and custom copper vent hood.  Quartz countertops, contrasting grey island and copper farmhouse sink combine to create a timeless, warm and inviting space that is open to the rest of the great room and adjascent nook banquette eating area.

This custom home is perched along side Puget Sound and was designed to highlight the families collection of Chinese antiques and their love of the natural elements in the Pacific Northwest.  This completely open concept kitchen sits within large beams that support the open great room, entry way and two staircases.  Cherry  caninets, granite countertops, a custom island made from an antique piece of furniture and rich earth tones slate brick backsplash with metal accents combine with deep red walls and a wall of windows to create this amazing space.
